Loveramics Dale Harris Cappuccino cup

Collaboration between London ceramicist Ben Sutton, Loveramics, and world barista champion Dale Harris 2017.

The designs focus on Ben's artistic skill with handcrafted china, combining elegant aesthetics with the natural tones and textures of the materials and glaze to emphasize the colors, quality and multi-sensory impact of various coffee preparations.

They wanted to create a range of products that allow coffee bars to serve coffee in a range of cups that match the quality of their ingredients and baristas. For example, they combined the artistry of Ben's original designs with the best features of Loveramic's signature work:

DURABLE AND WEIGHTY

A durable, handle-free design with thick walls that hold the temperature of the drink and lie comfortably in the hand. Research suggests that heavier cups provide a better sense of drink quality.

QUALITY

The curved bottom - typical of Loveramics - aids latte art and crema retention, which greatly improves the presentation of the coffee.

CONSISTENCY

Machining Ben's beautiful handcrafted design allows for consistent customization, ensuring the cups meet standard sizes for specialty coffee preparations.

Most importantly, Loveramics' production systems can provide a craft product, with a material that is dishwasher safe and resistant to everyday use.
